The Peregrine Cocktail

Peregrine cocktail

The Peregrine Cocktail premiered at our 10th birthday party at The Ivy.

The Ivy Club helped us to create an original and exclusive cocktail for our special event. Max Hilton and Alan Pitchforth were given the role of approving the cocktail for its taste and colour. The main criteria for the cocktail being 1. it tasted refreshingly fizzy 2. relatively healthy (minus the alcohol) and 3. looked great in red.

A little early for cocktails, 11am one February morning came around and Max and Alan met with George at The Ivy Club to taste the first rendition of the Peregrine cocktail. It took quite a few samples, further experimental mixes and the addition of a further 5 raspberries to reach our objective.

“It took quite a few samples, further experimental mixes and the addition of a further 5 raspberries to reach our objective.”

The team had agreed it would be a ‘genuine’ idea to provide each guest with a Peregrine cocktail to celebrate the evening and at the same time, gift each guest with a beautifully printed Cocktail card that lists the ingredients and how to make the cocktail.

If you fancy an original cocktail one evening, we’ve provided the details below:

The Peregrine Cocktail

40ml Tanqueray Gin, 15ml Lemon Juice, 6 Raspberries, 15ml Gomme
Shake, Strain and Top with Gaston-Chiquet Tradition Brut NV Champagne (or similar Champagne)

As the Ivy Club is part of Caprice Holdings, Peregrine was also able to offer canapés from J. Sheekey as well as from the Ivy Club. The Ivy Club also produced a birthday cake – and this was marked by all members of the party singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Peregrine!
